Big Creek Township                                 May 25, 1891

 

This indenture witnesseth the day and date above stated certifies that I, A.W. Reed, being of sound mind and memory, do will and bequeath my property Both Personal and real as follows, $200 – Two Hundred Dollars to my Daughter Alier [Alice?] Paid to her when she was married.  The Pianna to my Daughter Flora in lieu of $200 Two Hundred Dollars.  $200. Two Hundred Dollars to my Daughter Carrie, $200. Two Hundred Dollars to my Daughter Ida, and $200 Two Hundred Dollars to my son, P.H. Reed.  I do further will that H.A. Richardson shall be my executor and that he shall have full control of my entire business, the management of the farm and stock.

I further will that there shall be an equal distribution of my entire property both personal and real among my heirs.

In the Matter o the estate of A.W. Reed, Dec’d.

 

Comes now Mary B. Reed, Widow of A.W. Reed, Dec’d, and refuses to accept the provisions of the last will of said deceased and elects to take under the law as provided by the state.

Comes now M.A. Richardson of lawful age who being by me duly deposed and sworn says that he was well and personally acquainted with deceased during his life time ___ he was present and saw said Dec’d sign the written instrument now in possession of the Court purporting to be the last Will and testament of said Dec’d, that deceased ___ and here declared he ___ to be his last Will and testament, that he signed and said Will as Witness at the request of said testator in his presence and in the presence of W.H. Thacker the other attesting Witness, and W.H. Thacker signed said instrument as Witness in my presence said Testator was at the time of executing said will of sound mind and memory and under no restraint whatever.

Thacker, of lawful age, who being by me duly sworn deposed and says, that he was well and personally acquainted with deceased during his lifetime that he was present and saw said Dec’d sign the written instrument now in possession of the court purporting to be the last Will and testament of said deceased and there declared the same to be his last will and testament that he signed said Will as Witness at the request of said Testator in his presence and in the presence of M.A. Richardson the other attesting witness and M.A. Richardson signed said instrument as witness in my presence said Testator was at the time of executing said will of sound mind and memory and under no restraint whatever.
