In August 2006, this stone was discovered in San Antonio, Texas.
It had been lying face down for
over3 0 years on private property.
Fred died in Warren Co. Ohio on
May 22, 1850 at age 78.

The
inscription at the bottom
of the stone reads,
"Could final love have stood
his vital breath
or found affections
sooth a relentless death
Then would this marble not so soon
Told where surviving friend may meet
and shed a tear."
